What is an ERD. Define the ERD related terms, including entities, attributes, cardinalities and relationship
Entity Relationship Diagram
Database system is the base of a management information system. Relational databases are widely used in various areas. Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD) is a common technique for data structures and database systems design. The models of ERD related terms are given below:
- Entities
- Attributes
- Cardinalities
- Relationship
Entities represent the objects or things of interest.
Attributes are facts, aspects, properties or details about the entity.
Relationship are an association between two or more entities.
Each entity in a relationship can participate in zero, one, or more than one instance of that one relationship is known as cardinalities.
