Alt Tags and Title tags in HTML
Alt tags refers to the 'alternative text' which are used to provide the textual description of images on web pages. They are necessary for accessibility purposes, as they are used by screen readers to describe the content of the images to visually impaired users. Alt tags convey the purpose or meaning of images.
Alt plays a vital role to improve the SEO like Google cannot interpret the image directly but the Alt provide textual description of the images and enable the search engine to understand their content. Alt tags only not beneficial for search engines but also for users with visual impairments. When screen readers encounter alt tags, they read out the description and making the website more accessible.
Title tag is defined as the title of web page which is essential in every HTML documents and is typically placed in a head section of the page. The title tag does not effect the layout or content of page but plays crucial role in SEO. Every web page should have a title tag that accurately sums up its content. Without the repeated keywords , the title of a web page should describe its contents. A web pages title should accurately and succinctly describe what the pages about. a web pages title plays a significant role in its meaning and frequently displayed in bookmark or favorite as well as search engine result ( Noruzi 2005)
